Emirates Airlines Skywards - Travel Co-ord or Gift miles?

I want to upgrade from LHR-DXB on an upcoming flight. However, I am 9,000 miles short. My sister and wife each have 11,000 miles sitting idle in their account. Any way I can use them? I have heard about the travel co-ord scheme but how does this work? Any advice will be appreciated

Don't know the answer, but you can buy 9000 miles (if you haven't already).

No, you cannot give your miles to someone else unfortunately. They could however use their miles to give you a reward, but they would need to give the service centre a call.

You cannot combine miles from two accounts to get a reward.
As for using the miles in your relatives accounts, if you are their travel coordinator you could do the upgrade yourself (no need for them to call).
