SkyTeam - Copa Airlines will leave from Skyteam
Hi All,
CM will be leave from SKyteam same as CO will be transferred to Star. So CM will be no longer exist of DL codeshare on effective Oct 24, 2009. So sorry to hear for your disappointment from Copa Airlines. So which airlines will be joining into Skyteam sometime in the future. So unfortuntaly, DL can't be support for CM doesn't have any codeshare partnership both CO, NW, KL.

Since CM uses Onepass as its frequent flyer plan, this has been expected all along even though it hadn't been officially announced. Not sure why everyone acts as if this is a real surprise.
Ummm, pretty much everyone expected this already

While N830MH usually posts information that is spot on, does anyone have a link that confirms this post as factual?

Announced informally about 6 months ago:

Interested to see how having two rivals such as Copa and TACA in the same alliance works out...

It is also in the CO forum and was apparently circulated in an internal CO memo sent around earlier in the week.

What has been announced is that Copa is departing SkyTeam. No word on if or how they will attempt to enter *A, but they are pretty much stuck following CO around since they share a program.
