Sorry, but I think this is so dumb. The literature in the rooms in this hotel states that it has an ice machine on every floor. So, upon checking in, we look for the ice bucket to get ice since the minibar is room temperature, if not plain warm. Well, no ice bucket. So, I'm thinking maybe there are ice buckets near the machine. So, I walk all the way down one hall, then down another, and find the machine. No ice buckets.
I go back to the room and call reception and ask if there is supposed to be an ice bucket in the room. "No." I ask if I can have one. "Yes sir, we'll send one right up to you." A few minutes later a knock on the door and a bucket with some ice. Cool. No lid, so it doesn't last very long. Later in the evening, I head down to the ice machine. The bucket is stainless steel and way too big for the ice machine, so half the ice misses the bucket.
How stupid is it to have an ice machine on each floor and no buckets in the room and then when they provide a bucket, it's the wrong size? Europeans just don't get the ice thing! :D
