Korea - incoming US passengers beging screened at ICN

Just got in on UA 893 and they took my temp with an ear thermometer in the jetway and we had to fill out a health form.

Might detect pax with a fever, but also likely to increase risk of ear infections.

All UA pax ex USA are getting thermal heat scans too.

So dumb. The really contagious period is before symptoms show up. Once you have a fever you're knocking down the viral count. Almost as dumb as people wandering around outside with cut rate masks on.

while dumb, i actually like it. now, instead of being bored, i can spend some of my time in the airport trying to figure out what those people are thinking.

did they have a doctor/rn/emt taking temps or was it just some tsa agent?

Arrived on 881 from NRT two days ago, and they were replacing the used ear cap with a new one everytime they measured temperature. So I guess, there was no risk of ear infections in this case.

Hey, there is no nasty TSA at ICN. Hooray! For the flight that I was on, there were three inspectors taking temperatures, and they seems like quarantine officers.

As a side story, I accidently forgot to consume two bottles of Crystal Geysers water in carry-on before going thru security at SFO. They asked me to either go outside to drink it or discard. I discarded. At NRT, the exactly same thing happened. Two bottles of C G water in my carry-on, and they just let me drink it there. Freaking annoying TSA.
