I'm thinking that this part of the T&Cs might not be true. If the selections so far are to be believed, then there will be resorts with rates for 2-night stays.
I noticed that some properties (such as LM Barcelona) have blackout dates displayed in their listing. While I don't prefer blackout dates, it's nice that they aren't kept a secret.
Only 2 properties are listed for Greece: Arion and Westin Astir Palace. If some other Greek properties participated, I might be interested in them.
No participation from Switzerland. They've chosen to remain neutral, I guess.

I think you may be right as the rate does not load for me at a number of properties and they are not blacked out -- so I thnk the rates still need to be loaded in many properties -- hopefully!

I was a bit skeptical when I first saw this post--thinking prices would be just-ok. Well, there are some excellent deals! I have NEVER seen the W Istanbul for less than about 180Euros. The dates I'm looking at, in mid-June, are going now for 210 Euros.
On this Eternal Summer promo, the W is listed at 98Euros!
Now comes the next question: Will this end up only working on certain days (even though there aren't any blackout dates listed), or only for weekends, etc? Hoping it's not as limited as it could be.....
I'll be in FRA Memorial Day weekend, for 3 nights, so might end up heading to one of these hotels.
Also--DXB hotels have several in the US$75-125 range, which were going for MUCH more in past years.
Egypt is also quite cheap--less than $100 for LMs in Cairo and Alexandria.
Anyway, hope this pans out!
Thanks to the OP for the heads-up!

The price at the W Doha is also about 1/2 the normal lowest rate. I may cancel my cash and points rate for my stay next week if that price is available.

Maybe it's so obvious that it hadn't been mentioned up until now, but these rates do not count towards the free weekend night promotion.
The T&C say "Not to be combined with other special offers or promotions" and when I called just now, the person said the same thing.
For some people, depending on what the actual rates are when they appear May 6, this might complicate things.

...these rates do not count towards the free weekend night promotion.
I'd like to hear from the Lurkers on this. That statement would imply that we don't get stay credits if we use this promo. I've not seen a special paid rate yet where we can book on spg.com but don't get stay credits.

Generally they mean that you can't take an additional discount off of these rates using a SET or other special discount code.

Generally they mean that you can't take an additional discount off of these rates using a SET or other special discount code.
Precisely. Any paid rate booked over a Starwood proprietary web site (not Cash & Points because C&P is considered an award) is eligible to earn Starpoints and stay/night credit. No "ifs", "ands" or "buts".
And, if you earn Starpoints and stay/night credit on your SPG account for a stay, there is no way on God's green earth for the stay to have been ineligible for anything. That's merely a systematic impossibility.
Now, some hotels do load rate plans incorrectly (see the many posts about The Fairfax at Embassy Row and the TravelZoo rate). And, this may delay the inevitable, but if it is a paid rate booked over a Starwood proprietary web site, then it is eligible for any promotions that may be running simultaneously and that can and will be sorted out eventually.

The only London properties are those at the airport.
I struck out at Le Meridien Budapest in August. The 2 night rate was shown as 87.20 euros, but it was unavailable. The lowest I could find was 109 euros, nonrefundable. Fortunately, I have a AAA card. That rate is 98.10 euros and can be cancelled.

The Eternal Summers promo looks great to me...until I try to book it. I think the booking engine is broken on this one. The promo page has super cheap rates for, in this case, Milan. But when I go to book, on a valid date mind you, I get rates like €1036 per night for a cheap classic room! Even rack rate isn't that high.
Can one of the Lurkers please look into this?

Maybe they have not put new rates on the booking system yet....:(:(:(:td:

The rates now appear to be live for a number of properties, however the resorts now appear to be offering the savings based upon 3 nights for 20% discount and 5 nights for 30% discount.
I could have sworn they were at 2 and 3 night levels as with the hotels previously?
Noticeably a lot of hotels appear to consider themselves resorts too:
Sheraton Edinburgh, Le Meridien Barcelona etc.

Yes--the W Istanbul for June 14-17 is interesting.....
Listed at 98 Euros/night on the promo page.
For my dates, it's coming in at 147 Euros, and while this is a good price for this hotel, it's almost EXACTLY 30% more than the promo price. Are the promos being applied? There are no 98 Euro rooms being sold, at least from checks on several nights in May, June, July, August, and September. :)
As I mentioned to someone else about this, I really hope these are actual prices offered; usually Starwood is good about not doing bait-and-switch with promos. But these prices were so good, I was skeptical.
Hope the Lurkers can get some more info! Either the promo page needs to be updated with actual prices, OR the prices need to be updated.
Thanks Lurkers!

+1 for me as well. I have checked rates in Mardrid, Barcelona and Seville for Sept and the rates are extremely high.
Interestingly, the Endless Summer promotion page refers to rates for Seville for 3+ nights as from 122.5 Euros. Well it certainly is from that rate as i searched for my dates in Sept and the promotional rate is 715 Euros! If i remove the ETERN promtion code the prepaid rate is as low as 215 Euros. Thank you William for looking into this for us

No, the promo says 'prices from' so not everything will be based on this price. Other promos often work like this, with prices rising and falling based upon the underlying price during that period. This certainly seems to be working this way for a number of other featured properties.
That said, I can't seem to find anything like the cheapest promo rate for this particular property, so you may be right that something isn't quite right for this hotel.

I do understand what "from" 98 Euros means. But that means that sometimes, it should be 98 Euros, right? ;)
If you can find any 98 Euros price, then I agree. But I tried about 15-20 dates in every month of the promo and never found it. My 30% idea is only a guess, but it's quite a coincidence that the rate is 30% higher than the listed promo price.
Next anomaly:
Sheraton Prague is listed at CZK1750/night on the promo, about US$86.
It's pricing at US$600 for a "deluxe room"! Now, that must REALLY be deluxe! :P

I'm told that the offer does not officially launch until Monday, May 11th and that is why the rate is showing on the promotion landing page, but it shows a higher rate when you click on "Book Now". If you notice, when you click on the "Book Now" link, it takes you to the reservation field and no promotion id carries over.
Now, why it said you could book beginning March 6th in the T&C's, I have no idea, but it could be that the T&C's needed to be changed before the promotion page went live. And, why the promotion page went live before it was supposed to, I also have no idea about either, but I'm sure it may go dark soon because this is definitely a case of premature promotionitis. ;)

Just to drag this on ;) when i searched for Barcelona, for example, and click Book Now, ETERNL pre-populates the Special Rate Plan box which I assumed is to get the Eternal Summers rates.
I guess premature promotionitis has been inflicted on all of us eager FTers!

I had the same experience with the Le Meridien Munich, where I did get a reduced rate for a two-night stay. I booked it. Three night stays were a bigger discount (and weren't available for the weekend I will be there).

Yep, I see rates for the Westin Milano now, sort of. Not as cheap as the promo page, but a classic room is now €185. Yet a Deluxe Suite with twin beds is still €3000 per night.
My theory about the rates not being loaded in time is that occupancy is now increasing in Europe. For the last couple of months, it's been so bad that some hotels have closed entire floors. But the recent Labor day weekend saw packed hotels in many cities here and they say that the forecast is looking pretty good now. So maybe the head of Starwood EMEA is having second thoughts about this promo? Or they will scale back the number of rooms a bit.

I think that there are many mistakes in the system about this promo rates!
For Sheraton skyline London, I see the best available rate at 99 GB, and the same room in the same date but under the ETERNL code (book and save 30%) is 215 GB :confused::confused:

Yes, there are several hotels on the list with prices that don't seem to exist during the entirety of the sale period. But some ARE coming up at the correct prices.... which makes me ask:
Lurkers I and II, does IT or *Wood have a comment about the fact that, from the first day (even before the promo begins) there is no availability for the hotels at the prices they've listed?
I prefer to imagine that it's an honest mistake but it sure is widespread!
Edited to add:
I see you mentioned that this promo isn't scheduled to go "live" till May 12th... so maybe the cheaper "from ___" rates aren't loaded yet for some properties? I am finding availability for some, which makes me confused.
Thanks!

Take Le Meridien Barcelona, both stay 3 and 5 nites yield 20% off, but nowhere near the EUR 119 as advertised.
