Other Middle East and Africa Frequent Flyer Programs - RJ HKG to BKK Check in

I am flying from HKG to BKK in J with RJ I arrive on a BA flight & have about 6hrs between flights.
I could, I think get BA to through check my bags to BKK but I am worried about the bags going missing. So I was considering only checking my bags to HKG and checking in with RJ as normal, but I do not know what time the RJ check in desks open. Does anybody know what the earliest check in time is? Or would I be better of through checking my bags & heading straight to the Lounge?

The latter as long as BA thru checks you and then head into Hong Kong on the train, especially if you have nevre been there
