Dear friends, colleagues, acquaintances and enemies:
Some of you know me from my book and my weekly column at Salon.com. Well, this Saturday and Sunday, as part of the 11th annual Somerville Open Studios event, my apartment will be open to visitors from 12 noon until 6 p.m. Inside, I will be showcasing the best of my travel photography collection, with more than 60 pictures on display from my trips to 70 or so countries.
Many of you have already seen these pictures via my Flickr archives...

... but this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity allows you to view them in person with a complimentary glass of wine from Trader Joe’s!
As an added bonus, visitors get a rare glimpse at the inside of my undersized and crumbling apartment. Even if you are jealous of my travel experiences, you are bound to come away feeling better about your own life while pitying ours. What a treat!
Come one, come all.
Where: Somerville, Massachusetts. Near to Davis Square.
When: May 2nd and 3rd, from noon until 6 p.m.
What: Travel photos, cheap wine, and schadenfreude
Hope to see you here. Please email for my address and directions.
