Am staying at this property over the weekend.

Canceled my reservation at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn for a better rate ($129/night versus $159/night).

Would appreciate any tips for enhancing my stay and Diamond upgrade strategies--cannot find anything written about this hotel at FT.

If anyone has an email contact for the concierge, reservations staff or GM, that would be most appreciated.

What exactly you looking for? ES are already suites, and have free breakfast so really the only upgrade they can give you is some water bottles and maybe a little gift basket with cookies.

As for the location, you are only 2 blocks from the heart of Chinatown and some good bars and restaurants.

Ask away and I can fill you in as I only live 6 blocks from the hotel.

Travelexpert,

I just picked this property for my parents first trip to DC this June. Let me know how it is! They aren't HH members, so I think it was a good choice due to:

Suites
Free breakfast
Close to all the sights

I really like this hotel. I stayed there when I was in DC for a conference.

I was HH Gold at the time. The others are right; there really isn't anything to give you for gold or diamond other than water and snacks, which you should receive. Maybe you'll get a better-located room, too, but there ain't much more to be had beyond that.

There are a good number of families a this hotel, but even with a room right near the elevator meaning so many more people were passing by my suite, I didn't find noise to be an issue at all, and the hotel is generally spacious enough that the kids aren't running crazy on top of you, either.

I would stay there again in a heartbeat. I felt it was well worth the $ paid, esp. considering you get a suite + manager's booze & shmooze reception + breakfast.

YES--these property is excellent.

Full suite with kitchenette (microwave, fridge, sink). Great bed. Lots of closet space. One old style TV in bedrrom, flat screen in living area.

We were on the fourth floor (of 15) overlooking a street, and no noise. No evidence of ware and tear.....

Great breakfast including eggs to order from a chef. As a diamond member I chose free internet as my amenity.

While there was no "upgrade" for me, I got a non-smoking room even though it was not confirmed at reservation.

And perfect for the convention center--just 1.5 blocks (only property that is closer is a Renaissance).
