Is the ability to earn free nights new? Only remember the option for 500 airline miles...

I'm not sure why, but I seem to have been promoted to Select Platinum based on a 9 night priceline stay with the aforementioned bennies. I joined up during my priceline stay for the am hot beverage and free wifi... it seems they've counted it as a stay for the Select programme.

I won't complain but am quite surprised!

Actually, if my memory is correct, you could earn miles for stays and after every 6th stay you would receive a certificate for 50% off a weekend stay.

Don't be surprised, this happens often. I've always had good luck with the Select Guest coordinators at the hotel adding my Select Guest number to Priceline/Expedia/etc reservations. I've usually had to ask though.
