I am to fly IST-CAI-PEK next months on all MS metal.
I have exactly 90 minutes connection time between the flights in Cai.
Is this doable? or am I planning an adventure?

I can't give you a definitive answer but I *think* you'll be okay as flights have not yet transferred to T3 (well, there was talk of a JFK flight starting from there this month but no evidence yet). You won't want to spend too much time in T1 anyway. There are only a handful of gates and presumably you won't need a visa. Provided you're checked through... you should be okay.

And if it was issued on the same ticket, then it's a legal connection.

Barring delays, of course it's possible. That's why they sold you the ticket: the transfer procedure at CAI works well - it's not comfortable, but it works.

Thanks a lot for the info.
I have changed my mind to fly nonstop IST-PEK on TK.
