Hey all. This upcoming Tuesday I will be doing a UA MR to BUF, and have approximately 5 hours to kill in BUF. Never been to BUF before and am looking for ideas on things to do in that time-frame and/or good places to eat in or near the airport.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts/suggestions.

Well, if you're willing to rent a car you could check out Niagara Falls (although there is supposed to be round trip shuttle service...which could actually be faster). Niagara Falls is only 26 miles from BUF (per google maps).
There are Hard Rock Cafes on both sides of the falls.
Of course, none of this is actually ~in~ Buffalo.

^ Awesome suggestion! Thanks! (Looking for cars now)
If you are renting a car, you can also check out the Anchor Bar, birthplace of buffalo wings. These are the "dry" chicken wings. If you want to have the kind that swims in the sauce, check out Duffs also not far from the airport. It wouldn't take long to drive around the downtown Buffalo area from the Anchor Bar - the major parallel drags are Main Street, Elmwood Ave., and Delaware Ave. You can also drive over to Delaware Park and wander there for a few hours. Other local favorite foods would be to get a chicken finger sub from Jim's Steakout or try some Mighty Taco, both are local chains that are also not far if you are renting a car. Wegmans is a supermarket with a loyal following that is worth a visit as well for their take on a baked chicken finger sub. There is definitely a Wegmans very close to the airport, you could probably take a cab there and walk around the strip malls in that area to kill some time if not renting a car. A visit to Tim Hortons for some coffee would be good too.
Of course whenever out-of-towners came to visit, we just took them to Niagara Falls. No one cared to see Buffalo.
