Hilton HHonors - Duck Bucks

I really like the Duck Bucks some of Homewood Suites give their returning Gold HHonors members. I always get $5-6 to spend at the pantry which comes in very handy because I often stay on their very low off peak rates on the weekend when there is no free dinner. I think HS value on weekends certainly can't be beat especially when there are some marginal Hampton Inns nearby that cost much more. Sure keeps me being a repeat customer.

I like the goofy play money too. I always use it for stuff I normally consider way too expensive to get there, after a long day one of the froze fruit bars or something from the freezer, etc.

It's stupid, we all have $5 in our pocket, but it makes a huge difference in making the night better.

I think it is the physcological value of the duck bucks, if nothing else. It usually buys three small bottles of water, which ain't a big deal, but it is something as "percieved" value.
