SkyTeam - Any info for the LHR Skyteam lounge?

It seems that last year there were some press releases that said the lounge would be opening that year, and a second floor would be added this spring, although I don't think either has materialized. The most I could find was on Continental's site, stating that the lounge would be opening this (2009) summer. Anyone with any better info on this? Otherwise, I guess it's getting beamed up to the Holideck... or something.

The lounge build-out was delayed because BA was late getting out of T4 and making that space available to be retrofit. I do not know what the new ETA of that lounge is. In the interim it is the Holideck for now.

First level is reported to open on June 4th at 5:30 a.m. and the second level is to open in November if things go according to schedule:

Also scheduled to open in November, the second level of the lounge will include two VIP rooms - one with seating for 14 guests and another with space for three to four guests. These rooms, available for first class passengers and specially invited guests only, will feature extra-wide chairs and exclusive beverage offerings. The second level will also include a quiet room equipped with four day beds for sleep or relaxation as well as a separate children's area with games and television. The second level of the lounge is on track to open in November 2009.

It actually looks very nice. They must be proud of the planty looking thing around the walls as it adorned most of the photos.

Spent an hour in the new lounge yesterday.

It is a great improvement over the Holideck (and that was already much better than the small, cramped lounge KL had in T4 before that).

It is opposite Gate 10, the view is nice. The food is actually better than in any ST lounge I have visited (across Europe), with a good selection of snacks and fresh fruit even.
