Which Tasssie SYD AKL SYD flights serve the delicious Meat Pies with Tomato Sauce?

I usually fly J but always make a point of asking the FA is there are Meat pies on board in Y. The crews are always very accommodating

Crew have told me they are very popular

Are there any other Y meals that are popular

You need the flights departing in the afternoon (lunch or dinner service). Note mid morning departures ex-Oz get breakfast - which always annoys me (it is mid afternoon by the time we arrive in NZ).

Lol stuff the meat pies, I'm more interested in the Kapti icecream.

Is it rude if your in J to ask for one of the Little Kapti tubs from down the back?

Oh god no....they don't mind in the least, so long as you yet let them know at the beginning of the meal service.

They seem to load the Kapiti flavours completely randomly - a lot of the time there'll be 4 boxes for one flight and all four are different flavours!

Just be careful or you may end up with the dreaded Black Doris Plum flavour, dreaded by unaccompanied minors country-wide! :D

The Hokey Pokey ice cream was one of the best I have tried to date. ^

Note mid morning departures ex-Oz get breakfast - which always annoys me (it is mid afternoon by the time we arrive in NZ).Especially as there are only two options on the breakfast menu - not being one for poached eggs for lunch, you are left with the beef fillet and chicken tenderloin... which is practically inedible without a decent glass of pinot.

This way they get away with no dessert or starter.

Yes, exactly! ^ And we cannot get it here in the US... :(

And I was surprised to get a decent meat pie on my recent SYD-LAX UA F flight as midflight snack...

I would be the far side of surprised if I got any meat pie in F:eek: did they smear the tomato sauce artistically on the plate or did they go all out on the class front and put it in bowl of pea soup:)
