Australia, New Zealand & the South Pacific - Air Tahiti Nui RT LAX PPT for 857 US. Good deal?

For those who have experience, I was looking at doing a trip in Nov to Tahiti and have been seeing fares ~1300US, and saw a promo today for flight from August through December on Air Tahiti Nui for ~857. Is that a smoking deal or should I just wait and will I be able to find that type of price later?

No one huh? It is killing me since I am planning on booking the ICH Friend and Family rate for the hotel, but do not know if I will find a better airfare if I wait. I also would much prefer to use Air France for miles/points earning, but don't know if they are going to offer a better rate than the ~1300 or so they are charging now. Is it likely that November fares will a) drop lower than ~1300 (I have no frame of reference for tahiti flights so I have no clue what the norm is) and b) fill up long before November if I wait, or will availability likely stay open?

Yes it is a great fare.
I haven't seen it below $750 in recent years.

Anything under $1000 to the pacific is a good deal. $850 sounds like a deal you should absolutely book. I highly doubt it'll go any lower.
I got a $720 ticket to the Cook Islands, but that was just pure luck and a lot of flexibility with the dates :)

I agree with others. Under $1K for LAX-PPT is a great price. In the past couple of months I was looking for the same route but for high season (July) and I have not seen the price to fall below $1200...

We paid $1200/pp last October, so yes, definitely take it.
