Hilton HHonors - Hhonors double points/miles not posting?

I made a reservation under the promotion HHONORS DOUBLE POINTS/MILES at the Hilton Garden Inn Boston-Burlington located at :5 Wheeler Road in Burlington, MA. I specifically decided to stay there over other hotels in the area because of the double points promotion. Well, the double points never posted to my account. When I called to correct this, I was told this hotel was not a participant of this promotion. I even spoke to a supervisor who was very rude and dismissive. I called back after a few minutes to point out I could still make a reservation at the same hotel under the promotion. At that point they finally credited my account.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? It is not the first time it happens to me...

Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago during a stay at the Hilton Garden Inn New York/Chelsea. I made my reservation under a triple HHonors points/miles promotion but they never posted. When I called to complain they claimed the stay required a three day stay. Well that was never explained on description of the reservation. Eventually this issue was corrected by the hotel.

I have a serious problem with HHonors not honoring their promotions. I run a team of consultants and we travel every week. If this continues to happen we would simply stay at Starwood for now on. I just want to find out from the flyertalk community if this is an isolated incident or if this happens regularly to other HHonors members.

The two promotions I mentioned are completely isolated events. Also, they have nothing to do with the market-wide double HHonors promotion that ended April 6, 2009.
