Wow !
To my astonishment I find only one direct flight a day from Geneva to Amsterdam during the busy summer travel season.

Last time I booked there were at least 4 daily flights ... what happened ?

And are there any other budget connections that escaped my scrutiny ?

Was last time you booked in the winter (=ski traffic). Either that or the credit crunch!

Yeah ... right !
Check their prices for a one-way .... it's a no brainer !

Apparently Geneva was especially hit hard by the Madoff scheme which left there supposedly a battlefield of victims behind, including dozens of large investment firms.
I went thru the Madoff victims list recently and Geneva is one of the numerous places that got battered !

I have to say that I think there is some mass reworking of flights with Easyjet at the moment. At Basel we have flights to Liverpool only once a week when before it was almost daily, and London Luton and Stansted are gone - hopefully only for the moment, with only London Gatwick available twice daily at businessmen times and fares ..........

I'm flying GVA-LTN in June and there were still a choice of daily flights when I booked and paid in March ........................

Of course it's a no-brainer - unless you want a fully flexible & refundable ticket - but that wasn't your original claim

Refundable? If you're not sure you will fly, you could just wait until the day of travel to buy your easyjet ticket, it will still be a lot cheaper than KLM. Flexible ticket? If you want flexibility, you could buy separate easyjet tickets on a dozen different days, and it will still come out cheaper than a KLM oneway! Who buys these things?
