These sites that offer rooms at such great rates can be an excelent way to stay in hotels and visit places at AMAZING discount rates.
The hotels sell empty rooms they would not get a penny for if vacant, and YOU save BIG!.
However, plase take into consideration the tipped employeees are not included in the discount.
Take the doorman, bellman, servers, etc under consideration when budgeting for your trip.
IF $ is tight ,savea few bucks by, parking offsite, carrrying your own bags, and picking up food to go.
Also .ordering food outside the hotel do be delivered to your room is a common practice and totally above board.
This post is not meant to be SNARKY in anyway.
Just a few ideas,and suggestions.

Continuing in the non-snarky spirit, if you get a good airfare on Priceline, don't forget to tip the flight attendants the amount you would have if you paid full fare, about 10%.

and don't forget to tip the counterperson when you get your take out meal, and make sure they see you hit the tip jar, lest you have another Sinefeld episode on your hands. If you get food delivery in the hotel, make sure you tip the driver as well, free delivery is not free.

You just did. It's the difference between the hotel price and the taxes. Even though Bill is very rich he collects every time because he thinks you can never be too rich (he doesn't subscribe to the other half of that wisdom: "or too thin" - Gloria Vanderbilt). Here's another tipping tip - if a waiter serves you a steak and charges you for a hamburger, he expects a tip equal to half the menu price difference.

Don't forget to write in a tip for the room service waitperson. It's the blank line right after the 20% service charge....
