Online Travel Booking and Bidding Agencies - Discount codes for us airways, airtran or american airlines

I am new to this and am not sure if I am doing this right or not. I'm sorry if I'm not. Will learn proper procedures as I go along.

I am in desperate need of a discounted flight to Florida. Have family emergency and need to get there by Monday. Please Help!

First welcome to FT.

There are usually no discounts that an airline offers this close to a flight.

If you have an emergency, you should call the airlines and tell them about it. They have fares they can offer in such situations.

hi Faye, welcome -- unfortunately, I agree with wharvey. Probably the best you will do is if you are near a Southwest or Jet Blue city, you could try them, although in the spirit of this forum, you could try Priceline.

Do check www.kayak.com, and the airline sites themselves. Last minute specials do occur, although they are rare. Southwest and JetBlue are probably your best bets.

If you posted your origin and destination cities, somebody here might be able to be a little more helpful than the general advice you've gotten so far??
