That's shocking. KE must have couldn't find another combination city with MUC, like they did for VIE-ZRH, AMS-MAD, and MXP-FCO. LH's win on this market.

Good riddance, I say! Any airline who uses an aircraft with a hard product as poor as KE's Airbus 330 for a >10hr flight deserves to fail.

I think they could not stand competing against LH excellent product and service and they noticed a decline in their loads, which drove them to cancel that route.

Was KE's service daily?

The old-config premium cabins on the A330s are not a competitive product, so those planes only work on routes with a lot of leisure traffic and / or no competition. MUC doesn't qualify on those counts.

Was KE's service daily?

It was only 3/w as many other KE's European routes.

...and with LH daily, it would've been a challenge for KE to compete, even if the equipment was competitive.

Of course many Koreans prefer to fly Korean Air to a foreign carrier, but they also like short business trips, so I guess LH did better in that respect as well.
