Las Vegas - Peepshow at Planet Hollywood

I received some comp tix to Peepshow at PH & went last night. It's a new show starring Mel B from the Spice Girls & Kelly Monaco (from Dancing with the Stars or one of those reality shows). Lots of G-strings, panties, and pasties (so not fully topless, but just about).
Basically, it's an erotic telling of some fairy tales, with artistic license. I enjoyed the show & would definitely recommend seeing it - it's about an hour & a half. The theater is set up with tables in the front & then stadium style seating behind & there are two levels. I wouldn't recommend being on the top level or even in the back of the front level. Best seats in the house are definitely in the front at the tables. I didn't know who Kelly Monaco was prior to the show, but I will say that she's pretty damn hot!
Men, you'll definitely won't mind going to this show - and for the ladies, don't worry, there's plenty of eye candy for you too! ;)

Thanks for the review. I may just have to try the show. Sounds like it is better than Stomp Out Loud or whatever it was called.

I too saw the show this past weekend and sorry but must respectfully diasagree with you Bhatnasx. This was quite possibly the worst show I have seen in Vegas. Mel B simply cannot sing live, her pitch is awful and she has absolutly zero stage presence. The musicians need to lock themselves in a room for a week and try to well be a BAND. The drummer was on the back of the beat all night and just could not seem to find a groove. Lighting and sound....wow...just plain awfull! It is billed as a burlesque tease but there is really no tease to it. I could not find any redeeming qualities whatsoever. If you insist on parting with your hard earned $$ then I would recomend you do it quickly. There is very little chance this show would make it if Vegas was doing well let alone the state it is in now. I will be very surprised to see this make it through the summer unless there are some major changes with the "creative" team (and I hesitate to use that term to describe them).

I'll be honest, I haven't seen a lot of shows in Vegas so I have very little to compare it too - I've seen David Copperfield & the V-Variety Show (at PH in the Miracle Mile Shops), and Defending the Caveman (got comps to that too). Out of all of them, the only one that was really disappointing was David Copperfield. I don't know how much tickets would have cost for Peepshow, but from what I saw, it was amusing (not hilarious) and fairly well done. The music wasn't off - it wasn't really a "tease" per se (and I don't know that it's billed that way). Mel B wasn't great, but some of the other singers were pretty good.

Yep, I'll be here for about another year or two at least - I live here now! :)
Just got an offer from Le Reve & Ticketmaster - buy 2 premium seats ($125 each) and get a free night at the Wynn. Available through TicketMaster.

I thought it was a great show. Not a blow-my-socks off show, but I only see those a few times a year.
Some cool spanish web tricks I haven't seen.
The lead lady from Dancing With the Stars is hot!
Way better than the $30-60 shows,
but not in the same league as the famous Cirque shows.
Given that many of the cirque shows are now 25-50% off, I'm not sure I would pay more than $50-75 to see PeepShow (I was comped) unless I had already seen the cheaper Cirques like Mystere, Zumanity, etc...

We all agree. 12 of us (mix of guys/gals) saw this on 18th July, the 8pm show, and we all loved it. Yes, it was our first Vegas show, and yes Hugh Hefner and his gal pals turned up and were only two rows in front of us, so we had plenty of added interest, but the show has plenty for anyone I think.
Holly Madison is no dancer, nor can she act to save her life, but I thought the rest of the cast of dancers and singers were excellent, and did not miss the presence of a live band. The guys in the show are uniformly exellent and the bath scene was an absolute highlight. And the lead girl was brilliant, taking on Hugh with no fear and really giving him a hard time about "breaking poor Bo Peep's heart". Great stuff! The audience lapped it up.
I would think the later shows would be better, as the crowd needs to be warmed up and into it to give the show the zing it needs, but really no complaints here - it was a fantastic introduction to LV shows for us all.
