American Express Membership Rewards - UK Platinum card offers?

Just wondering if there are any decent offers around at the moment to entice me to apply for an Amex Platinum card?

A colleague just earlier mentioned that he saw an offer for 20,000-ish MR points on sign up on one of the "staff corporate rewards" websites he was evaluating. Of course, he forgot which one!

Anyone heard of that 20,000 MR offer (or anything better?)

I saw a referral promotion today for the Platinum IDC that included bonues points for the referring party and possibly the recipient, as well as the card half-price for the recipient for the first year.
