Have any of the revitalised UK cards received their Jumeirah Sirius Cards?

I am still waiting for my revitalised card - but my father got his Ti Centurion in January. He filled in the form for the hotel cards and VS Gold. He has received everything except his Jumeirah Sirius card.

Enquiries from American Express have resulted in nothing - they cant even seem to find out if Jumeirah have received the application or are processing it!

They are apparently getting "no response" from Jumeirah...

My Sirius Gold card took about 4 months to arrive. I had actually forgotten all about it, then one day it arrived. I doubt that I'll ever use it.

Received this email when I had some interaction with Jumeirah/Sirius a while back. Although it doesn't give a timeframe, it would appear there is "defined process" so your card will appear......at some point!

>>>>>>>>
Dear Mr.Camille55
.
With regards to the Gold Status – we do have a partnership agreement with Amex, however there is a defined process that is followed with this promotion. We receive batch files on a periodic basis that are then processed and recorded. Once we receive your details, as per process, your membership will be upgraded accordingly and your membership pack and card will be mailed to your address accordingly.
.
Kind regards
.

Great, sounds like another 'revitalised' benefit that it going to take some time before you can use it.

I asked about the AVIS Presidents Club status as I need to hire a car next month in the US, and wanted to see how their discounted rate would compare with Hertz #1 Gold - I was told it will take 6-8 weeks for my card to be fulfilled after I have mailed in the paper form, and until I have my card then I can't use the benefits. Are they for real? What is it with all this filling of forms - the irony of a service that is aimed at busy people, and I have to fill in forms and then wait 2 months before I can use it. It's not as if they don't have all my details already! Maybe they should send round a lacky as part of the new benefits to help fill in the mountain of paperwork. Or maybe enter the Internet age, and provide online secure enrolment.

I assure you that you do not need to have your Avis President card to use the privileges. It only takes about a week for the status to kick in, and you'll see it online. Unfortunately President status eroded to a useless benefit in the last year since a few people posted methods on how anyone could fraudulently get it for free, so Avis basically doesn't recognize it anymore.

Sounds great, another eroded benefit. I really wish that the AmEx team did their research more thoroughly. Didn't realise that Platinum gets Presidents Club in some markets:

Ok - update.

Seems like you will only be made an introductory member until you spend a minimum of $30 at a Jumeirah outlet. Not that big an amount - but really not happy at the principle of it.

In all the marketing materials it says "complimentary" gold card. This certainly isn't complimentary!

What next? You need to fly once with Virgin before you are upgraded to Gold?!

What about the first time you use the service? You wont get Gold benefits?

Certainly not right....

I sent off my forms some three months ago, and hadn't received anything so contacted customer service. I was told they pass the forms straight to Jumeriah without recording receipt, and that Jumeirah have no record of receiving the form - so no one knew where it was. He suggested I could join Sirius on line, to which I pointed out that I would not be made a Gold member. I left it with him thjat I would like this sorting out - no call back so far (its been a couple of days). Fairly pathetic

I am a UK Cent and have yet to receive my Ti (or Tit, as some are now calling it).

A couple of months ago I enquired to get my Supp a PC Plat and I was sent a form to complete. It occurred to me at the time this was the same form they send out with the new Ti packs as it contained references to SPG, Hilton, etc memberships. My Supp completed it and, lo and behold, the Supp has recently been issued with Jumeirah Gold.....but I am still waiting for the Ti!!

Many here have experience that Amex will not allow cardholders to register for the new 'benefits' until they actually get the physical Ti. So whats going on??

Anyway, I hope this info helps the OP somewhat.....ie. there is no rhyme nor reason to this launch.

I just got my Sirius Gold. It took about 8 weeks. Still waiting for PriorityClub Platinum Elite status. Radisson Gold card has not showed up either, but at least I am registered as Gold on their website. Kempinski Concierge welcome letter received, and attached form filled out and returned.

My experience has been very positive.
I registered online with Sirius and emailed my form 3 weeks ago.
Approx 10 days later my status changed to Gold on the website.
Pretty quick!

PS. No physical card received yet.

Had the Sirius Gold for a year, never used it, today got a downgraded Silver card in the mail. Emailed Amex, they confirmed that one needs to earn Gold the hard way to keep it after the first year, and that the other programs revert to their regular T&Cs as well.

Obviously not a big loss as I haven't managed a single stay. But it sure seems that the value of the card goes down a notch after the comped memberships expire.

I would certainly not be happy with that! It is not what Amex are advertising! If they were, they need to word it the same as SPG Gold......If I were in your place, I would write a letter to Centurion CS. This is false advertising.....

That's certainly not true of Hilton

That would be very offensive if true. I would likely still stay at properties if 2 for 1 offer still runs - but wouldn't bother otherwise. I would phone Amex to ask but the customer service people are so ill informed that the answer wouldn't be meaningful whether it confirmed this or otherwise

Have just booked a visit this Dec/Jan to Dubai using Sirius Gold and 2 for 1 benifits.

Still awaiting call back on the complimentry car transfers, took about 35 mins to book everything so expectant of problems based on past experiance. Not great for premium product, fingers crossed as I would really like AMEX to at least once amaze me.

Using this as test case for sticking with Centurion as have to admit so far seen no improvments it's actually worse. Flying Virgin and staying with Jumeirah to use the two new benifits of Gold Membership.

Lo and behold! After getting the downgraded Silver card on Nov 9th, asking Amex about it and being told that's the way it was, and finally complaining about it here, guess what's in the mail today? A letter from Sirius, dated Nov 10th, with a renewed Gold card. ^
