American Express Membership Rewards - Costco True Earnings Gas Rebate 4%

Just received a letter regarding my Costco True Earnings Business Amex Card. They are changing gas rebate to 4% from 5% effective with a billing period starting May 1st, 2009. 4% rebate will only apply for the first 6k in automobile gasoline purchases. All other rebates (restaurant 3%, travel 2% and everything else 1%) remain unchanged.

I just got the letter too. It's a bummer, but at 4% it is still a good deal.

4% is good. However, there are cards that still offer 5% cash back on gasoline purchases. One of them, that I am aware of, is PenFed visa or MC
