I've never heard any good or bad about Air Asia. I wrote a paper on them a few years ago just as they launched service but they must be pretty darn good! We need to work a lot harder it would seem if we want to dethrone the European and Asian LCCs!
I think it's time we got over the separate Low-Cost-Carrier classification. :)

If only the legacies stacked up. :)
If only the legacies stacked up. :)True.
And, the LCC is also the low-fare option. And not only cheaper, but a better "experience".

Really?
Certainly not always. ;)

I think it's time we got over the separate Low-Cost-Carrier classification. When DL, US and often UA normally price out cheaper than B6, I agree the "LCC" label has grown meaningless.

The LCC label means something, but that something is different than it was originally. The meaning is gradually approaching the asymptote of "airline that began interstate service after deregulation", and nothing more than that.

And please don't ask me what to call US, which is a hybrid of two types of airlines at least until one culture or the other wins.
Really?
Certainly not always. ;)I think I should have put some <sarcasm> tags around my post. :)
