Hi,
I will be taking my first QF flight from SYD-CNS-SYD for OzFest 6. Does QF offer singe entry passes for the lounges at SYD and CNS? If yes, how can I buy one. I have no status on OW or QF as I live in IAD and UA hubs there and they are in *A.
Thanks and Look forward to seeing many of you at OzFest.

Not for sale no. You may find some in the Voucher connection forum though as QF do issue single visit passes to people who attain Silver FF status. A lot of them already have Qantas Club access so they tend to trade them in or give them away. Obviously for OzFest someone should be able to guest you in, but for the others you'd need to find someone willing to offer/trade you one of the "Complimentary Visit" passes:)

Thanks, I just posted on CC.
Also, If I make a booking for SYD-CNS-SYD what is the best way to secure an aisle seat? If I make the request at manage my booking will that get me one for sure?
I actually think the easiest way for you is to just post on the OzFest thread and see who else may be travelling on your flight. You can also monitor the 'May 2009' thread here and see who else may be flying around the same time as you and can guest you in. You may get lucky and go to the J lounge instead of the standard Qantas Club.
QF only assign seats 24-hours prior to departure, no one can pre-select a seat, not even a super-doper-powerful-triple-elite, AFAIK. Nothing is for sure, but registering your preference should be enough. You can also register for QFF just to improve your chances slightly (but only very slightly).

Can I change my seat at on-line checkin?
Yes, and only to another vacant seat (of course). You can also 'check-in again' several times to change your seat. Sometimes better seats open up.
However, if your trip is part of an international ticket, you won't be able to check-in online at all.

I just got 2 guest passes in the mail from a CC trade. They are members guest passes.
Does anyone know if a member has to be there with me or can I just be there by my self and use one of the passes?

Member guest passes were phased out some years ago as they changed the rules for Qantas Club access. Qantas Club members and FF Gold/OW Sapphire can go in with one guest. The guest does not need to be flying at all, but the QC Member/FF Gold must be travelling with QF that day. FF Platinum can enter at any time regardless of travel plans and can take in two guests.
What you need is the Complimentary Invite with the little hologram in the corner, like these: http://img1.classistatic.com/cps/l/kj/09/2/25/226/r5/3810267_18.jpeg
The guest passes are no use. There have been a few threads on here about unscrupulous people flogging them off on ebay for serious bucks.
So if you have one of the invitations with the hologram, you're right. The guest passes I'm afraid aren't much use.

Yep, I have about 80 of them from different eras (some dated, some not, blue individual ones, books of 5 gold coloured one, while ones etc). I am waiting until they are valuable collector's items. Until then, they just take up space in my drawer.
