I recently booked a flight with JetBlue from Newark, NJ to San Jose, Costa Rica. However there is a connection in Orlando Florida. I am scheduled to arrive in Orlando at 9:46 am, and my flight to San Jose is scheduled to depart at 10:11am. I feel this is cutting it real close and i contacted jetblue and they could not offer me any information to ease my worries.
If i were to miss my flight, the next one is the next day and i purchased a $2,000 package where i would miss the first day full of canopy tour, baldi springs and so on.
Can you offer any advice or anything to ease my worries?
Welcome to FT!
I'm seeing 9:56 to 10:35 connection or 9:46 to 10:11 connection. Looks like this is a legal connection. I would hope that they'd hold the plane, but I woudln't count on it. If EWR is hit by WX (weather) then you're probably on your own. I'd recommend getting some sort of trip insurance (whether thru your credit card or another way) so that if you miss some of the things in your package, you'd at least get some $$ back.
Most important of all, there's no reason to lose stress over it, as what's done is done :).

Its always a possibility that you make it but your suitcase doesn't (if you are checking luggage that is)
If your bag doesn't make it to SJO with you, you will have to go BACK to the airport to pick it up and clear customs with it (its not like a domestic flight where they send the bag to your hotel/etc)
So I would suggest that you stick with carryon (or at least you put most of your 'high priority' clothes etc) in your carryon

Not to scare the OP but I've been to CR many times, and if you have a 20 min connect, don't check your luggage. In addition to the chance it won't make your connection, once you start touring CR you are far and away from the airport. Getting back there will not be an easy thing to arrange.
One suggestion is if you are using a single tour operator who strung your activities together, inquire if it's possible for them to send a local to the airport to fetch your bag and meet you where ever you are. Most of the places they take tourists to are in reasonable driving distance, unless you are going to a beach way south on the west coast. The locals are way nice people as well.

brianacaso, welcome to FlyerTalk. As your itinerary is all on JetBlue, let me move this to our JetBlue forum for further discussion. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator, TravelBuzz.

First off, welcome to FT.
Being that 75% of my itineraries are O&Ding at EWR, I've had some experience with that airport. Your departure time on your first leg should be ok. Usually flights first thing in the morning do ok. The problems that usually occures at EWR is that congestion slows everything down. As the day goes on, the more the traffic in and out of EWR can slow things down. Throw in an IROP situation and it compounds the issue. So, unless you have MX problems with the aircraft, which can happen to any carrier, or extremely heavy rains, which also will effect all carriers at EWR, you'll be ok.
Enjoy your trip.
