Do I need to be staying at Mandalay go to to Moorea Beach? I plan on renting a day bed.

I doubt they would turn away money but I read somewhere that you have to be staying at Mandalay to go into Moorea. Last year when I was there, I remember showing my room card.

semi-related, what are pavilions going for nowadays?

Have never had to show a room card to enter Moorea when using the side entrance (ie not via the main pool), however have always charged entry to my room, so maybe that covered me.

Anyway, I have had it with Moorea after last year - used to be a fantastic hangout, but now staffed by obnoxious gimps who keep you hanging in line to make them look important (despite the place being half empty at the time). They also let twice as many people in as they should, meaning that by noon the pool is just a seething mass of people - quite disgusting really.

Tower suites at the Wynn for us this year :D

I think $400 Fri-Sat. Daybeds are $200.

 werent they originally ~$2K? or am i getting things mixed up?

Professor Yaffle, apparently encore tower guests can use wynn tower pools. you might also consider palms place.

The big ones upstairs might be that expensive..not sure.

I rented a daybed last year for $200 (including admission for 2 guys)...well worth the money. You get some water, a fruit plate, a waitress (who will serve you at the pool), and most importantly....a place to put/lock up your stuff.

IMO spending 2K for a huge cabana upstairs is a waste...it's far away from the pool and far away from the action.
