Air New Zealand Air Points - Online Seat Selection

I'm travelling NZ741 WLG-SYD on Thursday. I had selected seats 5E&F, and they showed as selected on the 'Booking Summary' page.
However, I was just having another look today to check on the pax load, and the flights on the outbound flight had been 'un-selected' and not showing the seats I had selected.
Has anyone had this happen before?

yep, on international flights that i ended up being upgraded.......

This happens when the flight is passed over from head office (inventory management) to airport control. You will still have those seats requested, but will be unable to change them online until check-in (if you want to change them).

Generally happens 48 hours before departure. Used to be 24 I think.
