When I just posted the AQR thread, I noticed this slightly older piece (also from this year) featuring JetBlue as one of Business Week's Customer Service champs, was not shared here on FT:

Pilloried just a few years ago for stranding New York passengers on the tarmac for hours, JetBlue took the lead by creating the industry’s first "Customer Bill of Rights," which includes providing compensation for passengers affected by breakdowns and other problems of JetBlue's doing. The carrier recently introduced free e-mail and instant messaging on some flights.
