I have a flight ARN-FRA-LIN coming up soon and since LH doesn't offer OLCI for Sweden I wonder if it's possible to check-in online via SAS.se with my LH confirmation nr since it's on SK Metal?

Short anwer: Yes, but not for your FRA-LIN flight.
It has been warned many times in this forum that you should NOT do OLCI when you have a connecting LH flight as OLCI is not possible for the LH flight and somehow it will prevent even manual check-in for the LH flight at SK stations; i.e. you need to go to transfer desk or LH lounge at FRA to check-in and pick up you BP for the next flight. Through check-in of your luggage should be no problem.
You can use the first steps of OLCI and select seat for your SK flight (but not the LH flight) and to change your FFP NO. without any problems (but don't complete the check-in proces!)

If you by accident complete it, and the check in agent is unable to check in the last segment ask them to cancel check-in and do it all again, that will sort it out...

Remember that you can use the SAS OLCI even for LH metal out of ARN, use it to choose seats, but donīt complete the CI. Seats will remain in the system. Then you can use the LH OLCI for the second leg.
ANd even if the agent at ARN has to cancel check in (will have to call FRA for the second leg) your seating is secured.

That sounds complex: I know that the LH website explicitly says that you can't use their OLCI for LH flights originating in Scandinavia, but does this mean that only after selecting seats for your Scandinavia-FRA/MUC leg on the SAS papge the LH site allows you to pick seats for the second leg? Does the seat selection on the SAS page trigger something on the LH page so that the seat map becomes available?

SAS IT can not get their own system to work properly. Why would they be able to interface with LH? Sorry to be so negative, but I just this morning had another less than successful experience on the SAS web site...
