Does any of you know where I can rent the Fiat 500 in Italy for a couple of days for a reasonable price ... preferably in the Northern region ?

Best to use one of the consolidators like these (http://www.travelsupermarket.com/c/cheap-car-hire/) who will show you lots of sites together.
But always remember most car-hire operators don't guarantee a particular model

I tried to get a Fiat 500 last year in Italy. Did not work even though it was heavily advertised... :confused:
