I haven't taken B6 before so I don't know how this works. Does EML secure you pre-boarding or group 1 boarding? If not, how's the overhead situation typically for those who have used the product?
Thx

Thx flying4aliving Apr 5, 09, 9:52 am EML alone does not secure you a preboard unless you have small children or special needs. The overhead space just works out. The FA's are pretty watchful that someone doesn't throw their luggage in the first couple of overheads then trot back to row 20. seanherron Apr 5, 09, 2:55 pm I haven't taken B6 before so I don't know how this works. Thx I fly B6 EML quite a bit, and I've never had a problem getting my bag in the overhead bin. The FAs close the bins over the front 5 rows, and make sure no one tries to open them unless they are sitting in an EML seat. Plenty of times I've boarded and had a completely empty bin to put my stuff in. jetBlueNYFL Apr 5, 09, 8:50 pm Agreed with the above comments. It seems that overhead space is never really an issue on JetBlue flights - sure, the completely sold out flights tend to get some gate checks, but very few compared to what I see on other airlines. I think this has to do with the fact there there are only 150 seats (on the A320), and of course not every flight is packed. I see the bins over EML closed on every flight during boarding until those rows come on. Additionally, some airports pre-board the exit rows which are EML. seanherron Apr 6, 09, 12:03 am Agreed with the above comments. I think that, on top of that, the B6 bins tend to be larger than what I've experienced on comparable aircraft. Delta 738s, for example, won't fit my carryon that easily slides into a JetBlue A320 (or even an E190, if I really squeeze it). flyer0409 Apr 7, 09, 8:38 am They say that they are not pre-boarding the EML seats but on the E190 they have been inviting everyone sitting in the emergency row (also known as the EML only seats on that aircraft) to board first. |
