Anyone have any experience with U-Save Car Rental, generally and at Tampa specifically? Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot! Auto Enthusiast Apr 1, 09, 3:18 pm It sounds like another used car mom-and-pop. The popular vacation destinations are full of them, which is good because it puts the big guys on notice to keep their rates down. If you drive a new Lexus at home, you may view getting a 5 year old PT Cruiser as a great tragedy. If your daily driver is a 10 year old Escort, this might be a welcome temporary upgrade. Watch out for mileage restrictions and caps. Typically you may be limited to Florida and 100 free miles a day. Some of these outfits will give you "free unlimited miles," but only if you can show a return ticket/itinerary. Enterprise does this at some airport locations, too. The reason is that, statistically, people flying in are just doing local mileage to visit the area. If someone already lives there, on the other hand, chances are they're not visiting Shoprite but rather don't want to put 300 miles in one day on said 10 year old Escort. It's like how I've driven just about every new car from fullsize down, so I can tell the differences between them and critique them. This is while my roommate who drives a '94 Colt with 145,000 miles on it rides along and remarks on how nice and smooth the car is. So yeah, perspective matters :D |
