What will they do when they run out of colors??? ;) macabus Apr 1, 09, 9:51 am New Centurion Card color to be white and only 500 cards issued. Top tier in five airline programs + Starwood Plat, Hilton Diamond, Hyatt Diamond and free Costco membership^ I indiscreetly leaked early info about the new white card on this thread (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/american-express-membership-rewards/842112-new-ultra-exclusive-amex-crystal-card.html) last year, but was able to have everything deleted due to secrecy issues. It was code-named "Crystal Centurion" and was white in color. To those who were skeptical and accused me of malarkey, you may now apply for this new card. :D Dovster Apr 1, 09, 10:13 am I received one, unsolicited, in the mail. Okay, they are waiving all fees on it for me but my Blue card is much prettier and I am worried that they may not let me keep both. Rambuster Apr 1, 09, 10:16 am What will they do when they run out of colors??? ;) The new invisible card ! aviators99 Apr 1, 09, 10:50 am The new invisible card ! I've had one of those since I was 3. Ask any of my friends. mikeef Apr 1, 09, 11:09 am I received one, unsolicited, in the mail. Okay, they are waiving all fees on it for me but my Blue card is much prettier and I am worried that they may not let me keep both. I'm pretty surprised you turned it down, given that one of the benefits is a date with Michelle Pfeiffer. Mike Dovster Apr 1, 09, 11:15 am one of the benefits is a date with Michelle Pfeiffer. What? Another one? S.Bling Apr 1, 09, 12:00 pm I phoned Centurion Customer Service to enquire about receiving the new card. They informed me of the following corrections to OP's information: * The card is not a bright-white, it is more pearl-like. They didn't want to confuse it with the old Visa Stratus card. The unofficial name for the card is "Pearl" - but this does not appear on the card (like the Centurion) * The added airline benefits include top tier only with JetBlue, in addition to the usual Centurion elite memberships. * The hotel benefits does include Platinum SPG (finally), but they are removing their relationship with Priority Club also for Centurions, and as of this month IHG Group Hotels will no longer accept Amex cards at all (some merchant-fees dispute). * Saks Fifth Avenue is a new retail partner (again) but only if you purchase $10,000 or more from Saks during a rolling 3-month period - and this does not apply to shoes, jewelry, cosmetics, or any sale-items. * Membership Rewards do not apply to the card, and in the event that you upgrade to Pearl from Centurion, you will receive AMEX gift cards for your existing MR points, at the rate of 1MR=$0.005 * Instead, there will be no points accumulated on Pearl - instead, for each full-increment of $5,000 charged (and paid) in full each month, you will receive a $50 AMEX restaurant card. * Upon reaching at least $100,000 in any one month - you will also receive 5% cashback from Costco during the remainder of that calendar year. * You cannot jump from Platinum to Pearl - you must be an existing Centurion primary cardholder. * The number of Pearl cards is not 500 - it will be capped at 495 (In a tip to the $495 annual Visa Black fee) Eligibility for the Pearl will be "exclusive to the top 1% of US Residents holiding Centurion Status, to ensure the highest level of customer service". * You will be charged a new initiation fee of $5,000 when you change to the Pearl. The annual fee is also $5,000. Hope this clears up some confusion... gj83 Apr 1, 09, 12:04 pm I* The added airline benefits include top tier only with JetBlue, in addition to the usual Centurion elite memberships. Nothing on Southwest? I was hoping for a card to get me top tier on Southwest. S.Bling Apr 1, 09, 12:06 pm Nothing on Southwest? I was hoping for a card to get me top tier on Southwest. That actually crossed my mind when I was typing the JetBlue - but it was too much to ask for that Amex would have added TWO new partners :-) gj83 Apr 1, 09, 12:08 pm The new invisible card ! Now that you have mentioned this card AMEX will have to kill you. SectionChief Apr 1, 09, 1:32 pm I'll wait untill tomorrow to call Amex to confirm whether to believe or not believe any of this. You folks are driving me crazy! Happy April to all! S.Bling Apr 1, 09, 2:25 pm Midwest is doing a tie-in to celebrate the launch, and will offer their signature in-flight chocolate chip cookies with WHITE chips, to those passengers who purchased their flight in full using an Amex charge product. Amex credit card holders do not qualify, and will receive regular milk-chocolate chips. Avalon28 Apr 1, 09, 3:16 pm New Centurion Card color to be white and only 500 cards issued. Top tier in five airline programs + Starwood Plat, Hilton Diamond, Hyatt Diamond and free Costco membership^ Qualifications for the AMEX White Card are annual spend of $15,250,000.00 USD, annual fee of $25,500.00 for the primary card. Additional cards are $10,500.00. Membership includes a private jet program with 1,000 hours included. You earn 15X miles on Continental, Delta, USair for each mile flown on these flights. The top tier hotel status mentioned by the OP is correct. The card is made of white annodized platinum. There is no buisness version. The top tier hotel status mentioned by the OP is correct. The card is made of white annodized platinum. There is no buisness version. There is a business version. It's also Pearl in color, and doesn't require the level of spending you mention Avalon28. It's far less. As long as you meet the 1% criteria, and hold a Business Centurion - you may call to request whether you meet the conditions. The fee is also less - it is (as I mentioned from my data obtained from CCS) $5,000 annually, plus the one time initiation fee. There are no supplemental cards allowed. The business card is called PRAT (which is TARP backwards). S.Bling Apr 1, 09, 3:28 pm I received one, unsolicited, in the mail. Okay, they are waiving all fees on it for me but my Blue card is much prettier and I am worried that they may not let me keep both. Be careful of the "two card limit" recently imposed by Amex... I would keep the blue, since the Pearl fees may not be worth it, unless you will take advantage of the JetBlue elite upgrades. WhiteAMEX Apr 2, 09, 8:18 pm I've had this card for a while now. superior2112 Apr 4, 09, 5:28 pm I phoned Centurion Customer Service to enquire about receiving the new card. Am I missing something here or is this a lame offer? whmere Apr 4, 09, 6:05 pm I got my new White card today. I like the design, especially the dirty big April "Poisson" - or fish - logo. Is Amex moving away from the Roman logo imagery to something more 'marine' and Eco-friendly? I, for one, like it. Nice work Amex. I'll be putting a lot more business to Jet Blue in future! cparekh Apr 7, 09, 5:47 pm Received mine today. It was hand-delivered by a woman dressed in an all-white suit. I think she was either the woman in the Orbit gum commercial or a televangelist. alexbs Apr 8, 09, 5:19 pm The new card offers, a full time person lifestyle manager, concierge, PA - who is at your beck and call 24/7. You can email them whenever, and you are guaranteed an automated email reply withint 5 minuted. This is service is provided only to the "top" Pearl members, and provides unparrelled access to the same Cirlces experts a Platinum Cardmember has access too - its just "much" better. The Lifestyle Manager will also guarantee to find you the most expensive option on any request within 72 hours - even if it entails an overseas supplier. Clubs and Restaurants - no problem, your personal Manager can find you a reservation at ANY restaurant that has availabiltiy IN THE WORLD - it may just take 3 weeks. Hmmm, have I missed anything ;) macabus Apr 8, 09, 6:54 pm Hmmm, have I missed anything ;) You forgot about the free teeth whitening - available from select dentists in the greater Mumbai area. garethmorgan Apr 9, 09, 4:27 am Hah! Losers! Forget Titanium, forget White. I have been upgraded to the new 'Black Hole' into which all communications, fees and service are sent with 'absolute security'. AMDB7 Apr 9, 09, 4:50 am Got my Pearl card today. Delivered by Special Delivery - inside a giant oyster. Not a word was spoken, but I really felt the occasion as the oyster opened to reveal the card. It made me realise just how lucky I am and how worthless life had been with a Centurian card. ptxl Apr 10, 09, 11:21 am Got my Pearl card today. Delivered by Special Delivery - inside a giant oyster. Called Amex CS and they denied it even existed, let alone let me switch! We got into a heated argument about if they want to lie about the card or don't feel I'm in the top 1% then I'll take my business elsewhere and cancelled my Cent card.
