Midwest - 5 hours in MSP on Saturday April 4th

My girlfriend and I have a layover at MSP from 10:30AM to 3:30 PM on our way from JFK to Cabo. There is no Diners Club lounge, and I have no status on NWA. Any ideas for lounge access short of joining Priority Pass? Is there anything interesting to do near the airport?

Cab over or there might be a free shuttle over to Mall of America.

The Mall of America is just a couple of stops away on the light rail (http://www.metrotransit.org/rail/), which is just a few bucks round-trip. It may or may not meet your definition of "interesting", but it's definitely the easiest and cheapest way of leaving the airport for a quick getaway.

You would also have time to ride the light rail all the way into downtown Minneapolis, but you wouldn't really have time to do much of anything before you had to head back to the airport.

If you were planning on just hanging around inside the airport, there are a couple of decent restaurants, if you want to get some food and drinks to kill a couple hours (Ike's comes to mind). There is a barbershop/salon at the airport, too, where you can get massages, haircuts, manicures (if that sort of thing appeals to you). Also, there is shopping there. Not great shopping, mind you, and you are probably better off going to Mall of America unless you are nervous about leaving the airport.
