We flew through SYD on Monday and about a half hour before our flight 782 to CHC was to take off the ramp crew and baggage loaders that NZ uses at SYD (QANTAS) had an industrial action. The plane left approximately 3 1/2 hours late but to leave at that time NZ decided not to wait for bags to be loaded or the plane to be cleaned.
We were flying on a UA ticket and actually just had carry-on so we don't expect anything but it seems unfair for those who were really disrupted to not receive any compensation.
