Cuba! (As a US citizen). So someone is introducing a bill to allow travel to Cuba (yes, I know there are legal ways of getting there now; I want to travel on my own and maybe dive).

So, for those of you who are outside the US, how easy is it to travel on your own there? I'd like to get there before all the Americans get there.

Any suggestions?

Got a second citizenship with passport? You can fly with it.

You can also apply for a special permit (humanitarian or whatnot).

If you're willing to risk it (it's illegal), you can go via canada or some other thrid country.

If you are asking what non-US citizens do....it's as easy as pie.

Yeah, I know all the legal and illegal ways of getting there now. And I don't want a package tour. I want to go on my own. No tour company. I'd be willing to pay a driver.

Ah. You mean travel *whithin* Cuba not travel *to* Cuba.

Sorry ---can't help ya on that one. :)
