Asiana Club - HKG - ICN - ORD in F - What to expect?

Hi everyone...

I am flying this route in mid May departing HKG at 13:15.

Can anyone tell me something about:

* What aircraft will be used?
* Seating arrangements - anything I should know
* Meal service on each flight - what food is offered
* Do they give you PJs like LH
* What lounge is used in HKG - and how far from the gate?
* How easy is the transfer at ICN - how long does it take?
* Is there an (arrival) lounge in ORD with showers I can use - I fly on to Toronto from terminal 1 on UA in first
* Anything else I should know

Every one of your questions can be answered by browsing through the Asiana threads over the past few weeks.

My trip report basically had answered all but your first and last of your questions. My link is still up in the first page in the trip report section, you don't even need to do a search, just a click. From the questions you ask, you did not even bother to look up in asiana's us site, they had already listed most of the general information, especially regarding seating and amenities with photos. Please read before you ask, don't be lazy.

Aircraft depends on the day, you had already booked your trip, you should already know what aircraft it is from your itnerary, it can be 744, 74M, 777.

You last question regarding arrival lounges in ORD, no there is none for OZ, in fact, there is no escort through immigration either, you have to stand in long lines like other Y pax. UA does have arrivals in T1, but it is for UA metal arriving pax, not any other airlines. You are not even going to get in the UA IFL either, since you are arriving in F, but not departing int'l F, canada consider as domestic, the only lounge you can get in is the RCC, and no showers.

There are showers in the UA IFL ar C18 at ORD, but the showers are for use as Arrivals in the morning. I had turned down twice to use the showers in the IFL. Once I was departing UA F ORD-HKG, the other time I was departing UA F ORD-SFO, and SQ F SFO-HKG. I was wellcome to the IFL, but not the showers. However, I am able to use the showers in SFO IFL as I was departing in F.

There are too many threads in the UA board about anyone departing from US to Canada can only use the RCC instead of IFL.
