Hi, I don't know if this topic has been brought up, but I just applied for a Bank of America Business VISA branded with the Hawaiian Air miles program. I presumed that it would accumulate miles in my current Hawaiian miles program account, just as my personal BofA VISA/Hawaiian card does.
I was wrong...when the card was received, it was pointing to a new HA milage account. As I had referenced my current milage account number on the application, I called BofA and asked to have the correction made. They referred me to Hawaiian Air, where I was told that a business card required a different milage account for accumulation. I asked how and if the miles could be consolidated, and I was told that indeed I could transfer miles from my personal account to my business HA miles account if/when I was ready to redeem for an award, but not from my business to my personal HA miles account. I was given instructions on how to do the transfer and told to allow about 48 hours for the miles to fly from one account to the other in order to redeem for an award.
Seems like a lot of extra work to me...and clearly because of my milage accumulation on my personal HA miles account, it would be my preferred repository for miles, but then I'm not in charge. So long as I can consolidate the miles for my awards, then I guess it will be OK.
Thank you for the ability to post this.
