Fliers traveling on Delta Air Lines or Northwest-branded flights this week might be surprised to see some flight attendants sporting vintage uniforms from long-extinct carriers such as Western Airlines and Pan American World Airways.
Through Sunday, Delta has invited flight attendants on domestic flights to wear retired versions of Delta and Northwest uniforms, as well as outfits from carriers that were eventually absorbed — completely or in part — into Delta or Northwest. Plus, an update on the repainting plans for NWA planes.
