Thanks. elihassett Mar 25, 09, 4:10 am Try La Fiesta on Golders Green Road I was there last week it's meaty and very good service and food is excellent mikebg Mar 25, 09, 5:38 am I am not sure what you mean by a 'representative Jewish deli', but you may find that Bloom's in Golders Green Road fits your requirements. La Fiesta is indeed good, but is a South American style grill restaurant. Their 'business lunch' is pretty good value. The best place in my opinion is Novellino (also in Golders Green Road) but it is a milky restaurant so it may not be what you are looking for. craz Mar 25, 09, 4:01 pm I am not sure what you mean by a 'representative Jewish deli', but you may find that Bloom's in Golders Green Road fits your requirements. But then again Blooms was 1000% better then any so called Deli I tried in Israel W9London Mar 31, 09, 6:56 am Hmmm... why go all the way to Bloom's when you can go to Reuben's on Baker St? Salt beef is salt beef is salt beef, IMHO. Definitely Bevis & Marks if a generous employer/client is picking up a tab--they do delish & posh version of chopped liver (mascarading as pate) and salt beef sandwich. If you're looking for somewhere meaty, you can try steak wraps at Entrecote Bar (more casual) or Matancherry (Indian) as well. I'm rather loyal to Solly's schwarma behind the takeaway counter... |
