I've got a question about Ryanair's reservation system. There's a promotion going on and tickets are dirt cheap. I'd like to buy 7 tickets. However if I select 4 tickets, price is fine (taxes are 0), but if I select 7 price (per ticket of course) goes up and taxes are added. So my question is quite obvious - if I first buy 4 tickets and immediately after that another 3, will price for those 3 be the same as for the first 4?

Open up two windows in your browser and buy 4 and 3 at the same time!!

You could/should get the better prices.

As with everything Ryanair, it is the luck of the draw.

I'm not sure if I agree with the previous advice.

If there are four seats left at the lower price then no amount of magic will find you another three. Go for those four while they're still there.

I guess it depends on whether there are only 4 'no tax' tickets left on the flight, or if it's because Ryanair will only sell 4 'no tax' tickets at a time.

I don't think there is any real way to know for sure what the price of the second 3 tickets will be until you have bought the first 4.

However if the first 4 tickets are virtually free anyhow, then you haven't lost too much by trying even the second 3 come back at a price you don't want to pay! :)

And then all you have to worry about is a plane showing up to get you from A to B and back again

What's the purpose of this comment?

While I'm a confirmed Ryanair-avoider these days I don't see sense in slagging them off just for the sake of slagging them off. Their reliability is generally pretty good. It's just that on the few occasions when things do go wrong things tend to go very VERY wrong because all Ryanair will do is refund your money or put you on the next available flight in three days' time. Those are the cases that make headlines, but I believe that the percentage of flights that get cancelled is in fact quite low.

If you want to use this approach it's best that the two windows are entirely different browsers (e.g. one Firefox, one IE or Opera, Safari, etc). Using the same browser for both windows can cause problems depending on how the website handles sessions.

Remember the other guidelines about booking Ryanair (see other threads), in particular try to pay with a Visa Electron card.

the ryanair system only has certain amount of seats at certain prices, if they have 4 seats at X and you want 7 it will take you to then next lowest price
