Just got finished with a Choice survey (Elite Member Voice). The following was a question asked:
In regards to your Choice Privileges account, would it be helpful to you if you were able to add an authorized user, such as a family member, to your account?
To me, this seems like they're toying with the idea of pooling points, ala BA's Household Account.
This could really be interesting, especially when 'working' capped promos. :)

I read this one totally different from you and I don't know which is correct. Since the survey seemed to be about customer service and the automated call center and options surrounding that I was guessing they meant adding an authorized user to be able to access and make changes to reservations or account profile. Who knows???

Hilton Hhonors used to have Mutual Fund Hhonors accounts, whereby a person and his/her spouse could share an account. I actually still have that because I was grandfathered when they discountinued it.
They never said exactly why it was that the Mutual Fund program was discontinued. I suspect it was because they no longer wanted to be in the position of having to decide who qualified, and did not.

Friends of mine were "grandfathered" & "grandmothered" in to that program. They still share an account with Hilton.
