I am doing a 48 hr turnaround in Sydney in May (UA Double EQMs) and am considering doing the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb. Any advice on whether "The Bridge Climb" or "The Discovery Climb" is better? It is a bit difficult to understand what the differences are on the web site. Boyfriend and I are both in late 20s and physically fit.

i would do the bridge climb. i was just there back in dec and had to decide between the two myself. the main difference is where you walk up.
the bridge climb goes up through the highway from underneath and then walks up the upper of the two support arches. it's terrifying and breathtaking and i was okay as long as i didn't look down at the highway beneath me! :) you then cross over the highway and climb down the top arch again.
the discovery climb goes up the lower of the two arches to the top so that you can see the workings of the bridge (the other one just takes you straight to the top). then you climb up to the top at the summit, cross over and i think you go down on the highest arch.
there are two picture stops - at the summit and on the way back down; so either one you'd still get the max picture ops. but it's just cooler to climb allthe way up on the top arch.

The company takes lots of pictures, which you can buy when you get back to base.

My climb leader took pictures like every stop which was around 6 or 8 times.
I did the bridge climb. you really do have to pass a breathalayzer, change into a jump suit and pass a metal detector.
You can put on a goofy hat and you wear bone conduction headphones so the climb leader can talk to the group (but you're all chained to the bridge anyway so the person just says go and stop and tells you interesting stuff). I wasn't thinking and I had the stupid hat and headphones on in all my pictures so I didn't buy any b/c I looked horrible.
You get a free group picture at the summit, but if you want individual or pictures with the boyfriend, think twice about taking a hat or sunglasses. I don't know if you can take the headphones off, but if you can, do it for the pics!

We did the Bridge Climb, sorry, I am not familiar wtih the Discover Climb. I did know it was an option, but for reasons I can't remember, preferred the Bridge Climb. It was actually very easy, physical fitness didn't seem to be a huge factor. But, I do want to share with you that we did the night tour. We did the night tour primarily becasue it was the only time we could fit this activity in our busy schedule, but so glad we did. Seeing all the city lights at night was spectacular. It was just beautiful. So, just wanted to suggest to do at night if you can work it in your schedule as Sydney was spectacular at night from the Bridge. Have fun.
