bmi diamond club - NZ LHR-LAX availability

I am planning a redemption for 2 pax LHR-LAX return in C with NZ. There seems to be excellent availability in April/May, especially on the outbound leg, but nothing in October when we would like to go.

Is this a seasonal thing with NZ or do they tend to open up availability nearer the departure date? Thanks.

NZ tend to release more seats closer to departure, so that is probably the reason.

NZ do seem to have pretty good availability close to departure.

I managed to get two C class returns to LAX with them 7 days before departure a couple of years ago (I think the trip was in August).

Keep your fingers crossed and keep checking the ANA tool :)

Seats tend to open up closer to departure. Also keep an eye on operating a/c - if switch from 777 to 747 then there should be some extra award seats released.
