Hello all,

I am wondering if Asiana gives out birthday cakes on their flights(like SQ). I would be celebrating my birthday on board my flight next week and would be reaching my diamond status as well on that day(double celebration for me)...
do you think they would give out a birthday cake on my flight then?

I just checked my flight history, and noticed I flew OZ on my last birthday. I was in C and they didn't give me any cake and didn't even recognize that it was my birthday. Not that I care personally, as I'd likely feel someone awkward if they came out with a piece of birthday cake for me on the plane.

I didn't mention to the FAs that it was my birthday, so maybe if you want some cake or other special treatment you could mention it to them and see if they give you anything special.

Actually last year when I celebrated my birthday with SQ they gave me a birthday cake..it was noted by my travel agent. Lets see if theyre gonna give me one as my travel agent also noted my birthday on that date.

I didn't get anything from SQ on a birthday so you must have been lucky. No experience with OZ but if your TA puts a few comments in the booking things might work.

I don't want to get you too excited, but you could be in luck!

Look down the bottom under "Cabin Entertainment Program" and you'll see Celebrations.

I'd be interested to know what the cocktail wizard does? I quite regularly make cocktails and other aperitifs disappear but I wouldn't brand myself a magician:D

I just had my first birthday flight yesterday and flew on Singapore Airlines in F from SYD to SIN. B-day cake was ordered for me when I told at the time of the reservation that it was my birthday that day. :D ;) - pretty lame to say that I guess. But what made it very special was not the cake, but the hand written card by the cabin crew, including the captain and the F.O. wishing me a happy birthday. The 8 hour flight flew by so fast that I was really sad to leave the plane.

I am not sure OZ has similar service, but having a B-day cake in your flight isn't so bad and not so embarrassing. I shared my cake with the cabin crew.
