I heard of the new 2-floor lounge at IAD by LH that just opened recently. Is it a fully accessible lounge for any *G? Can I access it while flying UA or US domestically? (I know it would be difficult to use due to it being in the B terminal where very few UA and no US flights fly out of, but sometimes I have time to kill at IAD)

If you can physically get to it, and it is a designated *G lounge then any *G holder should be able to gain access. (With the exclusion of UA and US *G folks - the other 20-something *A airlines are OK)

Yes it is!

I had 5 hours at IAD yesterday. After seeing one of the infamous mice at the RCC at C gates, we went for a long walk to the LH lounge.

You have to go across to A gates on the shuttle, then its a long walk to B51.
You can also take a shuttle to/from D gates or from main terminal
But man, is it ever worth it!

No problem accessing the lounge with a UA domestic ticket in coach. As a star gold, I was directed to the senator portion of the lounge. Excellent hot and cold food, free internet, fantastic bathrooms, only thing missing was the bar, which is still getting installed.

The lounge is only open from 14:00 until LH leaves.

We were the only guests until some LH pax started arriving around 3:30pm. Once word gets out, I would suspect more people will be making the trek from the United terminal. It really is at most an 8 minute journey
