Well as far as restaurants their are plenty of options. What sort of food are after? There's all the usual suspects Tetsuya's, Rockpool erc.

For clubs after there is the Ivy in the CBD on George Street which many rate as being really good although I'm not sold on it. You end up getting a lot of people pretending they have more than they really do.

I've been to a new club Kit & Kaboodle in Kings Cross a couple of times, it's the happening place to be at the moment, set on two floors, the top floor is invite only but depending on how good you are at talking your way into places you should be able to get in.

If you want somewhere a bit more chilled out than a full on nightclub there is Ravesi's down in Bondi. It's more like an upmarket bar than a club but it gets some very decent looking girls in and they will be much friendlier than the sort you are likely to meet at clubs.

DenverPlat, I concur with bensyd's recommendations above, but recommend you check you can book at Tetsuya (assuming it's still as popular as ever) for your dates.

Has anyone here checked the new Rockpool restaurant? I've forgotten when it is/was due to open but guess it's any day. I'm sure it will be publicised very heavily.

It's likely to be just over ten minutes ride in a cab to Kings Cross and maybe that again to Bondi, if you want to check both areas for clubs and other nightspots. :)
