Three of us needed to attend a funeral in HSV and I thought a suite would work better for us. The Radisson is all suites and better priced than other options. I probably wouldn't have selected it unless I had stayed there before, albeit 5-6 years ago. My preference for 2 guests would have been the Hampton Inn next door.
Check in / Check out. No issues. We were allowed to check in at 11:00 am even though the official check in time is 4:00 pm. It didn't appear they had a shortage of unoccupied rooms. Friendly front desk.
Cleanliness: Decent. I was worried after reading Tripadvisor.com, but found no hairs anywhere in the room. No bugs.
Room: Could stand some fresh grout here and there in the bath. The nature of the rooms lends itself to darkness, but sufficient artificial lighting. 2 tvs with limited cable. The sleep number bed is a big miss, IMO, but points to Radisson for trying. Linens were of sufficient quality. Very small fridge. Clock radio needed setting.
Service: Somewhat lacking. Asked for a 3rd set of towels and they arrived while we were out. No bill under the door. Free breakfast is just barely ok (bland eggs, watery juice, make your own waffles), but restaurant service is piss-poor. We had invited 2 others to join us for breakfast (would have paid for them), but decided against and took them elsewhere.
I would do this again for 3 guests but not for 1 or 2 guests.
